April 19, 2010 - COMPETITIVE RATES, PARTNERSHIPS AND CUSTOMER GROWTH HELPS SASKENERGY POST SOLID FINANCIAL RESULTS

Competitive customer rates, successful strategic partnerships and strong customer growth were highlights of SaskEnergy's business in 2009.

The Crown corporation, which tabled its annual report in the legislature today, recorded operational net earnings of $64 million, compared to operational net earnings of $56 million in 2008. A positive non-cash fair value adjustment of $29 million resulted in net income of $93 million. Crown Investments Corporation (CIC) was paid a dividend of $51 million based on net income before fair value adjustments (operational net earnings).

CALGARY, Alberta - ATCO Midstream and SaskEnergy Inc. today announced the completion of an expansion project at the Kisbey Gas Plant in southeastern Saskatchewan that will benefit both the environment and Saskatchewan's economy.

March 10, 2010 - Market conditions lead to continuation of lowest commodity rate since 2001

Saskatchewan residents will continue to experience the lowest natural gas commodity rates since 2001, with SaskEnergy's announcement today that market conditions will enable it to maintain its current rate. SaskEnergy lowered its commodity rate by 13 per cent to $5.21/Gigajoule (GJ) on November 1, 2009, its lowest rate in eight years.

January 13, 2010 - Government Approves SaskEnergy's Delivery Service Rate Increase

The Government of Saskatchewan today approved SaskEnergy's request for a delivery service rate increase of $2.10 to the Basic Monthly Charge for residential customers. Even with this adjustment, the average residential customer's total bill has decreased 5.6 per cent or $57 annually, as SaskEnergy's commodity rate was lowered to $5.21/Gigajoule on Nov. 1, 2009.

January 8, 2010 - SaskEnergy and Industry Establish Innovative Training Facility in Saskatoon

Saskatoon is home to a new provincial natural gas trades training centre, designed to provide technical training to both SaskEnergy and private sector industry employees. The SaskEnergy Technical Training Centre was developed in partnership with the Mechanical Contractors Association of Saskatchewan (MCAS) which provided heating & mechanical equipment, mechanical contracting services as well as consultation during development of the facility.

November 18, 2009 - ALTAGAS CLOSES ACQUISITION OF REMAINING 75.1 PERCENT OF HERITAGE GAS

Calgary, Alberta (November 18, 2009) - AltaGas Income Trust (AltaGas or the Trust) (TSX: ALA.UN) and SaskEnergy Incorporated (SaskEnergy) are pleased to announce that the Trust's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary AltaGas Utility Group Inc. (Utility Group) has successfully completed the acquisition of 75.1 percent of the outstanding shareholder debt and common shares of Heritage Gas Limited (Heritage Gas). The acquisition brings AltaGas' ownership of Heritage Gas to 100 percent. AltaGas purchased SaskEnergy and Scotia Investments (Scotia) respective 50.1 percent and 25 percent interest in Heritage Gas for $109.8 million.

November 4, 2009 - SaskEnergy Rate Decrease Approved

The government today approved a 12.6 per cent decrease to SaskEnergy's natural gas commodity rate, resulting in the lowest natural gas rate in nine years. SaskEnergy's residential customers will now see an average 7.8 per cent decrease on their actual bill effective November 1.

November 3, 2009 - AltaGas Income Trust To Acquire Remaining 75.1 Percent Of Heritage Gas Limited

Calgary, Alberta and Regina, Saskatchewan (November 3, 2009) - AltaGas Income Trust (AltaGas or the Trust) (TSX: ALA.UN) and SaskEnergy Incorporated (SaskEnergy) jointly announce that they together with Scotia Investments (Scotia) have entered into a purchase and sale agreement pursuant to which AltaGas' indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, AltaGas Utility Group Inc. (Utility Group) will, subject to customary conditions, purchase for $109.8 million the 75.1 percent of the outstanding shareholder debt and common shares of Heritage Gas Limited (Heritage Gas) it does not already own. Proceeds to SaskEnergy and Scotia will be approximately $73.3 million and $36.5 million for their respective 50.1 percent and 25 percent interest in Heritage Gas.

September 30, 2009 - More than 200 new Northern customers will have natural gas this winter

SaskEnergy's natural gas pipeline system will begin serving new customers on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, the town of Air Ronge, and the first businesses in La Ronge in time for the winter heating season. More than 200 new customers in these communities will have the availability to connect to natural gas in the coming weeks.

September 28, 2009 - Applications to reduce overall bills by $54-106 annually: lowest commodity rate since 2001

SaskEnergy announced today it has filed requests with the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel (SRRP) to adjust its commodity and delivery rates. If implemented, these changes will reduce annual average bills for residential customers by $54 and the former farm customer class by $106.

Today, volunteers from SaskEnergy, TransGas, The Salvation Army, SIAST, City of Regina, Farm Credit Canada, SaskEnergy Network Members, and the community teamed up to provide 100 Regina families with a little extra warmth this fall from the 2009 SaskEnergy Home Efficiency Project (HEEP).

August 6, 2009 - Programs Are Available To Help Customers Manage Energy Costs and Help the Environment

SaskEnergy, along with participating SaskEnergy Network Members and SaskPower continue to offer energy efficiency programs to help customers save money on their energy bills. The ENERGY STAR® Prime Rate Loan Program and a $15 Programmable Thermostat Rebate are available as of August 1, 2009, and will continue through until March 31, 2010. These programs are specially designed for customers who are upgrading their heating and cooling equipment within their homes through the purchase of a natural gas furnace, air conditioner or natural gas appliance.

July 3, 2009 - Three more Northern communities to begin receiving natural gas this year

SaskEnergy continues to make substantial progress extending natural gas service to Highway #2 communities north of Waskesieu. New natural gas customers were connected in Weyakwin and Ramsey Bay last fall, the first communities to be served under SaskEnergy's northern pipeline project. The Town of Air Ronge, portions of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and some businesses in La Ronge will begin receiving gas service this fall, allowing customers to make equipment conversions in time for the winter heating season.

The Provincial Government today approved a 21 per cent decrease for SaskEnergy's rate for natural gas effective April 1, 2009. This change results in savings of approximately $23 per month for the typical residential customer.

SaskEnergy announced today it has provided the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel (SRRP) with a market update, which included a revised natural gas commodity rate of $5.96/Gigajoule (GJ) (22.38¢/m3). The SRRP requested a market update as it considers SaskEnergy's application for a new April 1, 2009 commodity rate.

February 17, 2009 - SaskEnergy requests commodity rate decrease: overall bill impact of 19%.

SaskEnergy has applied to the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel (SRRP) for a commodity rate decrease, effective April 1, 2009. The proposed commodity rate would be $6.23 per Gigajoule (GJ), compared to SaskEnergy's existing rate of $8.51/GJ, which was implemented October 1, 2008. If approved, this 27 per cent commodity rate decrease would result in a 19% overall rate decrease for the average residential customer, resulting in savings of approximately $20 per month or $240 annually.
