SaskEnergy’s COVID-19 Response

The health and safety of our customers and employees is SaskEnergy’s top priority.
We are actively monitoring the developments around COVID-19 and have activated our
Pandemic Preparedness Plan.
Our facilities and infrastructure are not impacted by the pandemic, and we have
contingency plans in place to support continued safe and reliable natural gas
service to customers.
As a Saskatchewan Crown corporation, SaskEnergy is following the policies
implemented by the Government of Saskatchewan. As such, the following actions
have been taken by SaskEnergy:
Paying your bills
We recognize that the current situation is concerning not only for the health and
well-being of customers, but for their finances as well, as workplaces are
beginning to be impacted.
In an effort to provide some relief for customers, effective March 18th, SaskEnergy
implemented the Government of Saskatchewan’s Crown Utility Interest Waiver Program.
Over the coming six months, late payment charges and interest fees will be waived.
During this time, we will not be disconnecting customers for non-payment.
After the close of the six-month program, any outstanding balance can be paid back over the following
12 months through equal monthly installments – with no additional interest charged on these payments.
In total, this provides customers with a period of 18 months to recover from the impact of the pandemic
to their finances.
If you have been impacted financially by COVID-19 and have fallen behind on your bill payments, you can sign up for this interest-free repayment plan by clicking here.
We ask that customers continue to pay their monthly bill in the usual manner if they are able.
If you are experiencing financial hardship due to the ongoing pandemic, please call us at
1-800-567-8899 or 1-306-777-9200 to discuss the program and payment plan options.
Customer service
SaskEnergy has plans in place to ensure that natural gas service is not disrupted,
even in the event of reduced employee levels. Going forward, we may need to delay
certain non-critical work, but safely maintaining natural gas service and emergency
response work will remain our focus. SaskEnergy is taking steps to restrict
potential in-person contact with customers in alignment with social distancing
practices. These measures will not affect the reliability of our service.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this continually evolving situation.
