Executive VP, Corporate Planning
As Executive Vice President of Corporate Planning, Nikhil Karanwal is responsible for SaskEnergy's Corporate & Strategic Planning, Gas Supply & Marketing, Regulatory, Distribution & Transmission Rates, Business policies & services, System Design, Facilities Planning and Interprovincial Transport businesses.
Before joining SaskEnergy in 2024, Mr. Karanwal was with Manitoba Hydro, leading Energy Markets, Gas Supply, Power Marketing and Power Trading functions in Canada and the United States.
He has also held senior roles in the oil and gas industry in Business Development, Asset Management and Operations with PETRONAS, Talisman Energy and Schlumberger in Canada, the United States, Argentina, China and Malaysia.
Mr. Karanwal holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Master of Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business, Calgary.
