SaskEnergy is working with First Nation communities in Saskatchewan to increase the energy efficiency of their home heating equipment. Upgrading equipment can reduce natural gas usage, increase home comfort, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and lower energy bills over the long-term. 

Through the First Nations Furnace Replacement Rebate program, participants can replace their standard or mid-efficient furnace with a more efficient model. 

Program Details:

• Applications are open to all residential homes located on a First Nation (on-reserve) in Saskatchewan
• $2,000 rebate for each installation of a 95.0% - 96.9% AFUE* natural gas furnace
• $3,000 rebate for each installation of a 97+% AFUE* natural gas furnace
• For the replacement of standard or mid-efficient equipment (new installations are ineligible)
• Applications are being accepted until March 31, 2024 for gasified communities**

 *AFUE = Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency
