Look for the symbol
ENERGY STAR® is an international symbol of energy efficiency. You can easily identify the best products to help you save energy and money, and protect the environment.
Most Efficient
The ENERGY STAR Most Efficient designation recognizes top of the line energy efficiency performance.
An ENERGY STAR Most Efficient natural gas furnace has an annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) rating of 97% or higher and a variable speed motor. A variable speed motor runs at different speeds to control the flow of heated or cooled air throughout the home. Better airflow control means a better balance of temperature and humidity.
Appliances
You'll find the ENERGY STAR logo on the back of manufacturers’ brochures and displayed on the front of most eligible products. To help you make the best choice, Natural Resources Canada lists all ENERGY STAR certified appliances available for residential and commercial use.
New Homes
Constructing an ENERGY STAR certified home is part of the blueprint to creating a greener future. From the design phase to testing the home once construction is complete, a qualifying energy efficient new home offers a higher class of home that will provide comfort and savings for years to come.
EnerGuide-rated New Home
